Hello everyone!
Let's start out with a funny story that's going to embarrass me, alright? ;)
This week we went on exchanges with the STLs. I had the wonderful opportunity to go with Sister Kennard in the Jackson area. While we were tracting, we knock on this door and a girl, Ashley answers. Trying to keep her dog inside, she has the door open about 5 inches. While we're talking, the dog somehow pushes the door open and jumps on Sister Kennard. This cute puppy is SO happy to get out! So happy in fact, that it didn't help that I got all excited to see it and pet it, once he put his two front legs on me, waggin his tail, is when the disaster happened. HE PEED ON ME. Thank goodness I was behind the door so Ashley didn't see as Sister Kennard holds her laughs in and talks to her. While I'm crying trying to keep my laughter in until we're off this girls front porch. We walked home hysterically laughing with the situation. Which leaves us with the scores for the week.

The thought that I'd like to leave with ya'll today, is on a talk that a great friend of mine sent to me on a day I needed it. ( Thank you for that) The talk is entitled, "Come What May and Love it" As Elder Wirthlin explains an experience he had as a boy at a time he felt very discouraged. When his football team lost a tough game. (I think we can all relate to that in one way or another) He expresses his gratitude to his mother who comforted him with this phrase:
Come What May and Love it.
He states, "I don't think my mother was suggesting that we suppress discouragement or deny the reality of pain. I don't think she was suggesting that we smother unpleasant truths beneath a clock of pretend happiness. But I do believe that the way we react to adversity can be a major factor in how happy and successful we can be in life."
He shares a few suggestions on how to help each of us through difficulties and hard times.
1. Learn to Laugh.
Laughter can turn some situations that started out negative into memories you'll never forget. Just laugh!
2. Seek for the Eternal.
While each of us are given trials in our lives, we can choose to have an eternal perspective which will enable us to endure and grow during difficulties. "These experiences, which often difficult to bear at the time, are precisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build character, and increase our compassion for others...sometimes the very moments that seem to overcome us with suffering are those that will ultimately suffer us to over come."
3. The Principle of Compensation.
Realizing and living by the knowledge that, "that which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way." Don't ever forget that Heavenly Father will always bless you for your efforts to live righteously.
4. Trust in the Father and the Son.
Having trust that our Father in Heaven is always looking out for our best interest, can give us the confidence that we can handle life's challenges as they come.
"The simple secret is this: Put your trust in the Lord, do your best, then leave the rest to Him"
I love ya'll so much...never forget that.
Love your sister missionary,

A sweet guy saw us tracting in the cold, he made us hot chocolate.
"How my mission has blessed my life." Can't you tell?;) haha
