A Moment I'll Never Forget: March 16

Good Morning Loves,
This past week, Sister Uffens and I had the amazing opportunity to become Assistants to the President. Just kidding, we just got to teach their investigator, Kacheela a few times before she was baptized. Same thing though right? ;)
For a few weeks now, I've gotten to know this wonderful woman and share a deep connection with her and her family, especially her daughter Angela.  She and her girls have had some of the most difficult trials and struggles in their lives that I have ever heard about. Each story left me speechless..no words could ever comfort, no amount of wisdom to give, all I could do was listen and cry. After an hour of not a word from my mouth, I bore my simple testimony that God loves them unconditionally, His Only Begotten son died for them personally, and the Law of Compensation is real. Some of my most emotional and spiritual moments have been within the walls of their home.
Her baptism was on Saturday, she and the Elders asked me if I could help her get ready and be the one to help her out of the water. As I watched this woman who was scared of drowning, having to be baptized twice (stubborn pinky) and coming up the stairs crying, sent me straight to tears. She gave me the biggest, soaking wet hug I had ever received. As we stood there crying together, she whispered something that I will never forget..."I am completely clean...Only God can understand what that means to me. Thank you for this, my Angel."
This moment of pure happiness is what I consider one of my favorite moments in life. The tender mercies that God gives us are exactly designed for each one of us and only we can understand the greatness of them. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a missionary. I know this is God's work, He has sent me here to help those souls that need to have the same knowledge that we all have. No one gets left behind...
Sincerely yours,
Sister Huffaker
